A nice post on what the Internet of Things is. (Don't ask me, it's relatively new to me).
How I explained the IoT to my parents.
Back in the old days, when I was still working at a big Telecom company, we'd often heard something like it. It mentioned querying your Refridgerator, to see if you had enough ingredients for making Chicken Cacciatore, or if you had to go shopping. This is apparently the same thing in a new name.
Thanks for sharing! I had fun writing that. As a Java developer, I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun with IoT devices; your example of Chicken Cacciatore is a good one (and something that makes me hungry; thanks, I didn't know about that recipe!). Devices connected to the Internet that allow you to access just about any information you need. The only limitation you have afterwards is your imagination.
